The Horn and the Holy Ones

A multi-day tour of Washington DC, based on Daniel Chapters 7 & 8, highlighting the Bible’s influence on the founding fathers of the American Revolution and their subsequent development of the nation.

**2024 Dates Coming Soon**

What kind of a tour is it?

For over 20 years we have been conducting an exhilarating tour to Washington DC to discover some of the city’s treasures and derive as much encouragement as possible from seeing places and things that highlight the unerring accuracy of Bible prophecy!  Stirring examples of faithfulness by brothers and sisters, young and old, past and present, provides a powerful stimulus for us to imitate their faith in practical ways today.  The Bible is used extensively on this tour.

What kind of a tour is it?

If you are the kind of person that likes tours that are Biblical in nature and focus on history and prophecy, you will benefit greatly from this program.  It is amazing to see how prophecies in Daniel and other prophetic books have been fulfilled in the United States and how those fulfillments affect us today.

This is not a typical bus tour that drives around while you look out the window listening to the narration.  It’s a fast-moving tour that involves a lot of walking.  The bus stops as close as possible to numerous places of interest, where will disembark to walk to these sites, see them up close and enjoy our Bible discussions.  Each person will have their own headset so that the commentary at each stop can be easily heard.

The tour involves getting on and off the bus many times to see and talk about things that pertain to our compelling theme.  We will also spend hours each day, walking and standing for long periods. As such, it is note for those that require walking aids or are dependent on others for mobility.

What is the basic itinerary?

Thursday morning we will depart very early from a central location that will be provided to all traveling on each trip.  As we make our way to Washington D.C. we’ll have lively scriptural program that includes media to build our appreciation for the trip and our anticipation for the coming days.

Friday we will start with a full buffet breakfast (included) at the hotel. From there it’s a short walk to the Museum of the Bible for our custom tour of this amazing facility. What can we glean from a visit to the largest museum in the world dedicated to the Bible? Not only will our custom tour of  these galleries provide us multiple answers to that question, it will also deepen appreciation our appreciation for Bible translators and their efforts to preserve Biblical texts throughout history. This instructive tour, combined with the museums multi-media galleries and exhibits create a powerful experience that is unique to this amazing place.

Saturday morning we’ll again start with breakfast in the hotel. After a short we will marvel at Jehovah’s creative works from an entirely new perspective during a private screening at the National Air and Space Museum’s IMAX Theater & Planetarium. The rest of this day will be a combination bus/walking tour of several D.C. landmarks, including but not limited to the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, and a few other stops. There is no end to the things to see and do in D.C. and if conditions permit, we hope to include a bit of free time this afternoon for you to experience a few of your choosing. Tonight, weather permitting, we will spend some time visiting a few of Washington D.C.’s iconic monuments and memorials to understand the how the “founding fathers” of the United States viewed the Bible.

On Sunday during our last breakfast at the hotel, we’ll gather in a private banquet room for a special Holocaust Seminar to prepare our hearts and minds for our visit to the museum that documents one of the greatest stands of faith by modern day Jehovah’s Witnesses, the National Holocaust Memorial Museum You will be given a customized self-guided tour sheet for your personal journey through the museum as the museum does not allow commentary inside the galleries.  The unique perspective gained from this seminar followed by a visit to the museum has been a life-altering experience for many. On the return to New York, we stop at scenic Baltimore Harbor for a few hours to enjoy dinner and look around.

This is a generic itinerary that simply provides an outline of the highlights of our visit to D.C. The exact itinerary for each trip will vary based on the time of year, local events in the D.C. area, and availability of the planned attractions and sites. Each trip’s itinerary will be provided to all confirmed travelers for that trip. At times “unexpected events” during our tour may require that we alter our routing but rarely do we miss anything we planned to see. —Eccl. 9:11
